"Samson" Seal?

A recent article here highlighted a small stone seal stamp dating to the 12th century BC discovered at Beth Shemesh in 2012. The seal purportedly shows a man and a lion in combat and so the suggestion that it might link to the Samson story in Judges 14. While I believe that the story in Judges 14 happened and the geographic location of the find places it in the same general area, The engraved picture on the seal is not clearly (in my opinion) of a man fighting a lion (see the picture from the article below). So this makes the seal's connection to Samson tenuous at best and any implications drawn from that connection to be highly speculative.
